Natural and Exquisite Veneers

8th January 2020, 10:49pm EST

Deciding on a dentist to replace old fillings on front teeth is not one that should be made lightly or quickly.  Porcelain veneers are an excellent and conservative option to restore or improve the appearance of front teeth.  General dentists are trained to perform many different types of dental procedures from root canals to extracting teeth.  Dentists can undergo further training to become experts in particular fields of dentistry, such as cosmetic dentistry.

It is wise to have at least two consultations with two different general dentists or cosmetic dentists who will place your cosmetic dental restorations.  The dentist should have a portfolio of cases that he or she has personally done and be happy to go over the details of process of placing porcelain veneers.  They should be confident in their ability to restore your teeth to your personal preference.

There is an art and science in the techniques used that result in veneers that look and feel like natural teeth.  Getting a perfect color match is no easy task.  The shade of teeth vary depending on the type of light reflecting off the surface of teeth.  For example, when one paints a room, the color appears as one shade when viewed in the morning sun and another shade when viewed in the evening.  You should feel confident in the hands of your dentist to give you the smile of your dreams.
